I am an Education Consultant and highly skilled Certified Teacher/Tutor. I have 15 years of teaching and tutoring experience in the field of Elementary through High School education. I am certified and specialize in English/Language Arts and Social Studies/Civics, but have experience in K-12 in Reading, Comprehension, Vocabulary, Writing, Social Studies, Science and Math, including Algebra. I mostly teach struggling students to help them with academic strategies and skills to succeed. Working with students is one of the most rewarding jobs that anyone can do. I strive to be a valuable stakeholder in the education of next generation. I have 6 years of teaching and tutoring experience across the four core academic subjects (ELA, Math, Science, Social Studies) with a strong educational background in social studies. I graduated with my Bachelor's from Arizona State University with Honors and ahead of schedule. Although I have a bias towards math and social studies tutoring, I do tutor all subjects at the secondary (6-12) level. I believe that all students should be given the flexibility to succeed and that every learning style must be accommodated for.

Math is one of my strongest subjects all round. I excel at problem solving, noticing patterns, and following steps. Because of my ability to grasp these points, it helps me break down the steps and equations to teach them to a very intelligent student who hasn't had the extra help they need to grasp these tools.
I have been tutoring math K-12 in person and remotely for 6 years. I also have my B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Texas at Dallas. Tutoring math is not just a job to me, it’s a passion. I strive to help all of my students understand math in their own way, creating lesson plans tailored specifically to their individual needs. Since 2017, I have helped hundreds of students realize their full math potential, as well as gain confidence in themselves. Math subjects I have tutored include math K-12, Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus.
I have previous experience tutoring in math where I helped students K-12 learn a wide variety of skills from the basics of pattern recognition and critical thinking to more complex topics in Algebra, Trigonometry, and Calculus.
During my time in high school I was a private math tutor for friends , which I was able to help them with algebra 1 and 2. I maintain a low A average (91 at my institution) over the course of three years.
I have had trouble in the past with Algebra, and I myself needed a tutor. But I feel that with these tutoring experiences I have gained a really good understanding of the concepts, and I have learned many tricks and short cuts to help facilitate questions and processes.

I have recently graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics (GPA 3.71). In college, I have taken several math courses that involved algebra, even though I was not required to take the actual trigonometry course because of my SAT score (770/800 in math). I have furthermore participated in an individual research on objects in non Euclidean spaces. I have experience working as a first level math tutor for college students through my school's tutoring center, and I have also worked privately for high school students.

I have been tutoring in Algebra for over 10 years! I started as a peer tutor in high school, and from there tutored elementary school to college students. What distinguishes me as an Algebra tutor is that I, too, once struggled in math. I really have a great passion for teaching Algebra 1 and 2. I am helping a lot of my students to succeed in Mathematics. A positive growth mentality is possibly the best instrument for studying math. Students can open themselves up to taking risks, which are crucial to learning, when they are taught to accept their mistakes and view struggle as a chance for improvement. This is true for all learners. The ability to make mistakes freely and the time to reflect are crucial components of learning in general and are often lacking in math classes. We are depriving kids of their full potential if we let them think that their errors are anything else than teaching opportunities. I earned my BS in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Technological University and MS in Computer Engineering from National Technological University. I spent 10 years working as an engineer before I found my passion in teaching. I taught 4 years of high school math before homeschooling my own children.
